Can't believe 30 years is coming up! I'll be officially retired from the Air Force on January 1st, 2011. Looking into follow-on options right now. My son is finishing his senior year at The Colorado College in Colorado Springs. Where I’ve been since ’81: AF Academy, Int. Studies Masters at U of Washington, Pilot training in AZ, 4.5 frozen years flying the KC-135 aerial refueling jet in North Dakota, teaching young skulls full of mush history at the Academy, cavorting around Asia in my KC-135 based out of Okinawa, Japan, learning Thai and diplomatic skills in Washington DC, and golfing, flying and liaising with the Thai Air Force in US Embassy Bangkok as air attaché. Along the way I’ve picked up fluency in mandarin Chinese and Thai. Besides all the water sports here, I’ve been singing in the symphony chorus and training for my 6th marathon this December. What I remember from HS: Sweltering band camps with a lunatic red-faced director, band trips to Washington DC and the infamous Detroit scandal, great times with band buddies David, Dave, Al and a host of others, morning swim practices in freezing cold water, going to prom looking like some gangster with Becky and Beth, suffering through calculus right after lunch with an incredibly boring teacher, and doing donuts on the snow in the parking lot (but I’m not sure what snow looks like anymore..hahaha). I wish everyone well…please drop me a line and we’ll catch up! Along with so many of our class, you can catch me on Facebook, too.Send Lt Col Bob a Message

WOW! 30 yrs. A life time ago, as my kids say,"pre everything important". I have 3 teens, Amanda is a sophomore at CMU, Elizabeth will be a sophomore in High school, and Daniel will be in 8th grade. We live in Redford MI a suburb of Detroit. My Mom lives just down the street and my Grandpa lives just around the corner. My kids are attending the same schools my mom attended. After HS I went to Butler then transfered to Central Michigan. Moved to Wichita KS in 1988 where my hubby was looking for me and we married in 1990. We moved to the Detroit area in 1995 with 1.5 kids 3 cats and a horse. Doug and I celebrated 20 years of marriage last fall with a trip to Colorado. We are busy with Church, Girl Scouts, and Family. Hope to see everyone at the Reunion Send Marissa (Marty) a Message
Hi Guys, I really enjoyed reading about all of you. And I'm excited about seeing all of you at the reunion. I continue to have a grand time since we last chatted. Life is great with my wife, Beatriz, and two kids, Marcos (13) and Mariana (10). We've made our home in Indiana where we've been for the last eight years. I currently own and operate a science-based business focusing on the Asian market. Besides my interest in science (yea, I'm still nerdy thanks to Mr. Smith and Mr. Harpring), I enjoy being actively involved in sports (Thanks Coach Myers, Busby, Settlemire, Collins and Holhauzen). I love playing tennis, and if you can't catch me on my mobile then check on the courts. If you're ever in town for a Purdue game, stop by and say hello. I would love to catch up! See you at the party.Send Mark a Message

Oh my, time does seem to have passed after all, hasn't it? Thanks for this site; it's a kick in the pants!
I won't be able to attend our reunion, but I do adore hearing what's happened over the years to everyone. I'd still love to hear from anyone who remembers me!
After Ball State, I went to grad school in Denver and Buffalo, taught briefly in Cleveland, and have happily settled in lovely Madison, Wisconsin, where I teach (online and f2f) college-level writing, technical communications, poetry, and writing for the web--a specialty that didn't exist when we all graduated from high school.
I still love theater, film, and art, although now it's mainly as a patron, not a performer. I still love to read for pleasure, particularly hard-boiled detective fiction, science (biology and psychology), and cookbooks. My favorite vices are "Pimp My Ride" and chocolate (although not, usually, at the same time:)
It's been a long time since I've seen so many lovely family photos as I find on this site. Best wishes to you all!Send Martha a Message

It will be great to see everyone again! It's hard to believe that it's been 25 years. Where has the time gone? I get back to Greenfield from time to time, since my brother, sisters and mom are still there. Send Paul a Message
How cool is this? After being scattered by the four winds, we 1981 GCHS alumni can be gathered back together by the technology that was only in its infancy when we graduated. I don't know about you but Greenfield Central seems like a life time ago, and if the grey in my hair and the roundness of my belly are any indication, it has been. So where have I been? Here is the shortened version. I graduated from Ball State in 1985, got married to Penny in 1986, moved to Kentucky and ther heart of Appalachia, in 1992 I earned my Masters of Divinity degree from Lexington Theological Seminary and was ordained into the word and sacrament within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). In 1991 and 1993, Penny and I adopted our two children, Amariah and Andrew. I have served congregations in Louisville, KY; Indiana, PA (yes it is the name of the town); and Charleston, WV. Currently I am serving a non-profit social service agency that works with homeless and low income individuals and families. So what memories do I keep from the days of walking the halls at GCHS? Swearing up and down that I would not go see the movie Grease, and ending up seeing it three times. Being in Econ and the Bish making sure we were first to the lunchroom. Swimming a hell of a lot and always ending up at the same place. Puttin' on the pads and crackin' heads on our football field. Youth group at Greenfield Christian. Long phone calls well before call waiting and cell phones. Water basketball with Bernie S. The T-Bird Bob Cummings drove. Wet Tenderloins. Brandywine Park. There is so much more, just not enough space or time. Until we meet again, ShalomSend Randy a Message

It really is hard to believe that it has been 25 years... at least until I look in the mirror :) I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. A big thanks to the organizers! Here's an abbreviated update to the info I had about myself on Classmates.com: - I go by Ron now, but I always know I'm with old friends when they call me Ronnie. - 6 years at Purdue. - Married in 1987. - 10 years in the Graphic Design / Marketing field. - Became V.P./Creative Director of a firm in Indianapolis. - Divorced in 1995. - Became Marketing Director for a high-tech start-up in Indpls. - Went back to school (IUPUI-Kelley) for an MBA (graduated with Honors). - Remarried in 1999 and became a parent of a 6 year old girl. Wife is from Charlottesville (Eastern Hancock class of 1985 ?) - Started my own advertising firm, MarketWise Solutions in Indianapolis, in 1999. - Had a baby girl in May, 2000. - In 2003, I accepted a nomination to join the IU Kelley School of Business Board of Advisors. - Had a baby boy in October, 2004 (I know, I'm a little old for this... but I got a late start). - We live in the Zionsville / Carmel area, and have a second home in Ft.Myers, FL, where we vacation often. - I'm still homebrewing beer for a hobby, and competing, judging, etc. I recently took an intensive exam to become a Certified Beer Judge, and I was featured in an article in Nuvo for my Castle Rock Red Ale, which is available for a limited time in local liquor stores. It's a great beer. Get some while you can. - Overall, and despite the usual ups and downs, life is, and has been, good. When looking for a photo of myself, other than the usual suit and tie business photos, I realized that I didn't have many family photos of me (since I'm usually the one with the camera), but the photo here is from a recent ski trip to Snowbird, Utah, where we own a timeshare condo and try to visit most Springs. Everyone is pictured (looking a little spent from a day on the slopes), except for the new little guy who is still too young to make this trip. Maybe next year. By the way, is there a prize for the youngest child ? With one under two, that has to be close to the winner. :) I can be reached at RonSmith @ MarketWiseSolutions.com (no spaces), or check out my company's website. See you on the 21st!
